How Greenhouse Software Drove Six-Figure Savings
PAIN POINT
Greenhouse Software, the leading recruiting and onboarding platform, had outgrown its PEO vendor. At nearly 200 employees and growing, it was time to explore options. The People Ops team sought a solution that would:
- Deliver an improved benefits enrollment experience for bi-coastal teams, and
- Demonstrate cost savings to justify the move.
SOLUTION
Lumity’s benefits consultants analyzed Greenhouse’s plan design and modeled an expected cost savings based on their current demographic health risk profile. Additional modeling compared health plans and ancillary benefits paired with competitive payroll license fees. Armed with this analysis, Lumity farmed out bids to all major carriers—ultimately securing a rate that achieved better benefits at a 41% cost savings.
For a seamless migration off the PEO, Lumity leveraged existing PeopleOps workflows, ensured plans were ACA compliant, and offered insurance billing reconciliation. This built a strong foundation for the People Ops team to take over post-migration.
RESULT
Greenhouse migrated from the PEO with 41% in savings, better benefits, and gained benefits administration automation for critical workflows and manual processes. Savings were used to offer free benefits plans, make health savings account (HSA) contributions into the high-deductible PPO plan, and offer additional employee perks.
